Veterans on Patrol is a group that actively searches areas for homeless veterans to help get off the street. The group was shocked when they stumbled upon what appears to be a child sex camp in Tucson, Arizona along the border.
The first camp was found in the area of I-19 and Valencia. The group found suspicious materials in the area not generally seen at homeless camps. Craig “Sawman” Sawyer posted a video to his Facebook of “rape trees.” The trees were covered in straps that are believed to be used to restrain people while they are being raped.
Sawyer is a 54-year-old highly decorated veteran. He was a Marine sniper and a member of Navy SEAL Team Six. Sawyer is filming a documentary called “Contraland.” The video is geared towards the child sex trafficking industry.
The most disturbing discovery was an underground bunker that is believed to have been previously used to house children being sex trafficked. The group believed it had been roughly ten days since someone had been at the camp when it was discovered on May 29.
I didn’t expect to see something this heinous and inhumane this close. I served in the military to keep things like this from happening here that’s why I risked my security, so nobody here would have to put up with this.
The Tuscon Police Department told KGUN9 they sent officers and investigators to search for signs of child trafficking. TPD reports there is no evidence of human trafficking on the site. The group that discovered the camp disagrees with local law enforcement and have announced that they will remain at the site until law enforcement recognizes the camp for what it is.
The Facebook page VOP Alpha Co – Team Pulaski has gained almost 20,000 followers in a matter of days. The group has been doing videos on Facebook LIVE with the hashtag #OperationBackyardBrawl.
The group has been threatened with arrest since the area is said to be own by CEMEX. CEMEX is a Mexican multinational building materials company headquartered in San Pedro, near Monterrey, Mexico. The company was founded in 1906 when the Cementos Hidalgo plant in Northern Mexico.
Those staying at the site have stated on Facebook LIVE that they are unarmed and have called for multiple law enforcement agencies to help in their hunt for child sex trafficking areas. A tower in the area is acting as a place that two of the groups members hope will be able to protect them from arrest.
It is said over a hundred families have come to take tours of the alleged sex camps to see and decide for themselves. Parents from the area appear to be showing their support for the groups efforts.
