Police and rescue have pulled missing Wichita native Toni Anderson’s car from the Missouri River.
Anderson went missing on January 15, 2017, after she got off work from her job at Chrome Exotic Club in Kansas City, Missouri. Before Anderson went missing, she sent out a text to a friend that said, “Omg just just pulled over again.”
After missing for almost two months, Anderson’s vehicle was found Friday evening when a non-profit organization was searching the river with sonar equipment. Divers confirmed it was Anderson’s vehicle from the license plate.
Early in the day, a black SUV was also pulled from the river but is not believed to be related to Anderson’s disappearance. Anderson’s vehicle was found at roughly 6:00 pm.
It is confirmed that Anderson’s vehicle had a body in it. At this time, it is not yet confirmed that the body is Anderson. Loved ones are preparing for the worst, and praying for closure, while waiting for the results of an autopsy to confirm the identity.
