Charles “Chad” Reidy found dead from suicide in his garage during a police well-being check
Reidy is the husband of Joanne “Jo” Ringer who went missing on March 2, 2017
From evidence gathered at the scene police believe Reidy’s death to be a suicide
It is believed that Reidy was the last person to see Ringer before she went missing
Charles “Chad” Reidy was found dead in his garage on Friday during a well-being check conducted by police officers. From evidence gathered at the scene, officers believe his death to be a suicide, but an investigation is still being conducted.
Reidy was the husband of Joanne “Jo” Ringer, who went missing in early March. Her family has said that Ringer did not show up for work at her new job driving taxis. After Ringer did not return to her and Reidy’s home in Clarksburg, Massachusetts, he reported her missing.
Ringer was last seen on March 2. The last person to see her is believed to be Reidy. Ringer was supposed to work a shift from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am at her new job driving taxis for Aaron’s Paradise Transportation. Owner Scott Bellemore says that Ringer never showed up for her shift.
Reidy claimed the last he saw his wife was after they finished their morning chores and breakfast. Ringer allegedly received a phone call and left the house to visit someone. Reidy said he went to see some friends in Washington and did not get back to the house until around 1:00 pm and that Ringer was not home.
Due to an unpaid phone bill, Ringer did not have cell services. She was only able to make or receive calls when she was connected to Wi-Fi.
On March 6, 2017, Ringer’s Volkswagen Jetta sedan was found abandoned in Easthampton.
