On Saturday morning, firefighters arrived at the scene of a double-wide mobile home in the 4000th block of Southeast 84th Lane Road in Belleview, Florida that had been destroyed by a fire.
Two people were found dead at the scene, but their names were not immediately released. Family members have confirmed to The Daily Haze the deceased are Rob and Ariel Cooper.
Marion County Fire Rescue spokesman James Lucas said firefighters were dispatched at 7:26 am. First responders arrived on the scene at 7:35 a.m. and found the couple’s remains at 7:48 a.m. It was reported the mobile home was already burned to the ground when firefighters arrived. Firefighters had to force entry into the property due to the gates being locked.
A neighbor that wished to remain anonymous called 911 after her teenage son noticed smoke while they were walking their dogs. The woman stated in the phone call to 911 that everything had pretty much been burned to the ground. The mobile home was located next to Burrell Memorial Cemetery in a Paradise Springs subdivision that has about eight residents, most of which are mobile homes.
Following the tragic and unexpected deaths, two Go Fund Me campaigns have been created to help the families with funeral expenses. Both campaigns have a goal of $5,000. You can donate to Rob’s Go Fund Me by clicking here. To make a donation to Ariel’s Go Fund Me click here.
