An $1,000 reward has been offered for anybody who has information leading to the arrest of the person that glued a dog’s mouth and eyes shut before abandoning it
A good Samaritan found the dog in Oaklawn on February 26, 2018, and rushed her to an emergency vet
The Samaritan initially thought the dog had been hit by a car but soon noticed the eyes and mouth were glued shut and bruises on her abdomen
The dog is said to be recovering after receiving immediate treatment for her injuries
On Monday, February 26, 2018, a good Samaritan came across a dog that looked as if she had been hit by a car in Oaklawn, just outside of Wichita, Kansas. Upon closer inspection, the Samaritan quickly determined what had happened to the dog was no accident.
The female dog had her mouth and eyes glued shut with superglue. Bruises were visible on the dog’s abdomen. After realizing the extent of intentional injuries, the Samaritan rushed the dog to Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital of Wichita.
Beauties and Beasts, Inc., an animal rescue organization based out of Wichita, made a post to their Facebook page with what little details there are about the horrendous act. In the post, it says the dog received immediate treatment and is still recovering.
Three images were included in the post. One of the images shows the dog’s face with her eyes and mouth glued shut and the second shows her mouth open with what appears to be fur stuck to her teeth. The third image shows the bruising on the dog’s abdomen. Beauties and Beasts are offering a $1,000 reward for anybody that can help provide information that leads to an arrest for this heinous act of animal cruelty.
