The Internet cheers for Colleen Dagg after a video went viral on social media showing her beating up a racist in a hotel lobby

  • Before the video starts the woman in the video allegedly made a racial comment towards Haitians

  • After Dagg voiced her disapproval the woman physically assaulted her

  • The Internet has cheered for Dagg following the video’s viral attention

Following the recent desperate struggle for white supremacists to be recognized as a part of the norm, many have called upon white people to use their “white privilege” to help keep racial discrimination at bay. Recently, Colleen Dagg was there to answer that call, proving that all heroes indeed do not wear capes.

The Beating Heard Round The Web

A video uploaded to Facebook shows Dagg in a hotel lobby being verbally attacked by a woman in a blue dress. The video starts after the unknown woman allegedly made a racial comment about Haitians, then focused her attention on Dagg after she voiced her disapproval.

Dagg is seen taking off her shoes in preparation for a physical altercation when the woman gets in her face and physically assaults her.

Dagg leaps up out of her chair and proceeds to give the woman a beating heard round the Web. The woman who provoked the attack was clearly not ready for what was coming. Oddly enough, following her racist comment, it was two African-American men that had to save her from the wrath of Dagg.

The video ends with police arriving on the scene, and the unknown woman playing the victim. She can be heard claiming that she is three months pregnant and wants to press charges against Dagg. If the woman truly is pregnant one can only wonder why she would pick a fight in a hotel lobby, or anywhere for that matter?

The video was reportedly uploaded by a man known only as “Austin,” who since deleted the video. By the time the video was deleted, it was already too late and had been spread all across social media, beginning the Internet’s hunt for their new found hero, Colleen Dagg.

Dagg created a Twitter account to address her new found Internet fame and tweeted out the following message to those who adore her.

This is a young country, built on racism. Black people have been disenfranchised for over 250 years. The faster white people accept and validate the truth, the closer we’ll come to a place of peace and understanding. Fighting racism is dependent upon using my white privilege for the right reasons. There were 2 examples of white privilege in the video. The woman in the blue dress tried to use her white privilege on me, the fact that I’m white too must have slipped her mind. If you see it, say something. It’s really that simple. Disclaimer; some people can’t handle the truth. Stay ready.
